European Sustainable Energy Week 2024

EU Sustainable Energy Week 2024, Europe’s largest annual gathering focusing on renewables and efficient energy use, is set to make a powerful return with its 18th edition under the title, ‘Net-zero energy solutions for a competitive Europe’.

From 11 to 13 June 2024, the conference will take place both online and onsite in Brussels including a high-level policy conference, presentation of sustainable energy awards, European Youth Energy Day, and an Energy Fair offering valuable networking opportunities.

We are proud to announce that FME ZEN, together with two Horizon 2020 projects: syn.ikia – Sustaiable plus energy neighbourhoods & ARV- Climate positive circular communities, and Green Digital Finance Alliance have applied to host a policy session during the EU Sustainable week.

The EUSEW Policy Conference is the biggest conference dedicated to renewables and efficient energy use in Europe.  We will highlite Net Zero Emission Buildings and Neighbourhoods by 2030: Making it happen through targeted financial policies.  The revised Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) is ambitious, and many countries around Europe

are lagging behind in the implementation. In the session we will focus on the experiences from 3 large scale research and innovation projects with a total of 20 demonstration neighbourhoods (ZEN, ARV and syn.ikia). We will discuss the key challenge of financing a speedy scale up of these solutions across Europe. We will hear from different key stakeholders  along the value chain and discuss challenges, opportunities, and solutions in interaction with the audience.

We will know if we are one of the chosen ones in March. Keep fingers crossed.
