The day-long conference, taking place 13th of March at Lerkendal in Trondheim, is strategically structured, beginning and concluding with plenary sessions that encapsulates collective questions and visions. Throughout the day, participants will engage in parallel 90-minute sessions, each crafted by sub-committees comprising members from relevant FMEs. These sessions are dedicated to exploring specific aspects of the central theme: the role of FMEs in mitigating climate and energy challenges. The aim is to foster interdisciplinary exchange.
Together with FME HihEff we (FME ZEN) are hosting a session during this conference: Energy efficiency first! It is common sense to use energy wisely before generating new. Therefore, the EU has energy efficiency first as a guiding principle in their policy developments and investment decisions. Energy efficiency is a conflict free measure that will free energy to be used for other purposes, as well as bring further value creation to the industrial actors and the society. Here we will take a look at what have the industry, achieved and what is the remaining potential, further on we dive in to barriers for realizing the potential – how to get things done, before we move on to the policy perspective and discussion.
Our participants comes from SKANSKA; Hydro, Norsk Eiendom, Enova AS, Norsk Industri, NVE and NTNU. We hope for fruitful discussions and interesting presentations.
The FME Day is a part of the NTNU Energy Transition Week
